A Real Estate Broker is someone who holds the highest level real estate license which allows them to sell real estate under Wisconsin law and handle trust accounts.

In simple terms, a Mortgage Broker is the middle man between a bank and a real estate purchaser. A mortgage broker and a banker are much the same in that they provide financing for buyers to purchase real estate. A banker has programs that their bank offers to help buyers where as a mortgage broker goes to numerous banks to find real estate financing programs for buyers.

Most brokers in the Watertown area also sell real estate. In some larger firms in other areas the brokers do not practice they just oversee the practice of the licensed agents in their office.
